Identify the visitors on your Google Tag Manager site

Your tag

Copy your tag from the dashboard. It looks like this:

Steps on Google Tag Manager

1. 1Tags → New → Custom HTML. Paste the Escendo tag.
2. 2Set the trigger to All Pages → Save → Submit and publish.
3. 3Add the DNS TXT record from your Escendo dashboard (escendo-verify=YOUR_SITE_KEY), so your domain can be verified.

A tag added through Tag Manager is not in your page's HTML, so domain verification uses DNS instead.

Check it is working

Open your site once. The dashboard confirms the tag is live and lists you as the first visitor. If not, it says why.
