Identify the visitors on your WordPress site

Your tag

Copy your tag from the dashboard. It looks like this:

Steps on WordPress

1. 1Install the free WPCode plugin (Plugins → Add New), or any header-and-footer scripts plugin.
2. 2Code Snippets → Header & Footer → paste the Escendo tag into the Footer box → Save.
3. 3No plugin? Appearance → Theme File Editor → footer.php, and paste the tag just before </body>.

A theme update can overwrite footer.php, which is why the plugin route is the safer one.

Check it is working

Open your site once. The dashboard confirms the tag is live and lists you as the first visitor. If not, it says why.
